MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS BECOME MORE EMPOWERED
Middle School students at University View Academy are directed to become more independent with their studies and begin to take more responsibility for their learning. Online lessons are now written directly to the students as they rely less on their learning coaches and become more self-directed. The Middle school offers state-approved, rigorous core subjects. Course outlines are designed to help students see their own potential and the many possibilities open to them. Middle school students start to work directly with highly qualified subject area teachers for their online courses, but they remain under the guidance of a counselor or homeroom teacher for overall support. They actively participate in teacher-led online instruction and review sessions via our online classroom tool, which provides not only more specific instructional assistance, but also the opportunity for students for students to communicate and work with their peers.

Highly qualified teachers work directly with students, and encourage them to start considering the Early College or Jump Start pathways to prepare for successful life-long learning.
